WEDDINGS
Live music complements every wedding. It creates a degree of individuality on what is a very special romantic day, so thoughtfully chosen and expertly played music can enhance such a momentous occasion. Recorded music doesn’t have the same impact as one would experience with the immediacy of live music and, in the case of the harp, a uniquely beautiful and romantic instrument, neither does it have the visual impact.
Music during the drinks reception can create a welcoming atmosphere for arriving guests but also provides a focal point whilst the bride and groom are being photographed. The harp has a very intimate sound yet can also be heard over a party of hundreds of guests. A mixture of musical styles played in the background at a drinks reception or wedding breakfast adds that very special touch.
Ellen’s repertoire encompasses classical, light, jazz standards, film soundtracks, musicals and popular chart songs.
TESTIMONIALS
‘We finally have had some time to sit down and we want to say a massive thank you to you! Our wedding ceremony was magical and having you play the harp absolutely made it!!! Fred’s mum gets emotional every time she hears Pachelbel’s Canon and I’m not sure whether you saw her sobbing before the ceremony had even properly started or not?! But we had so many family and friends ask us to pass along their compliments to you as they loved the pieces you played. We really, really appreciate everything you did for us and we can’t thank you enough.’
Vikki & Frederick, Broyle Place, September 2018
‘Thank you so much for your beautiful performance on Saturday afternoon at my daughter’s wedding. I’m very sorry that I didn’t come and thank you at the time but was rather overwhelmed by the numbers of people and the occasion. In the evening though, so many people came up to say what a fabulous musician you were and what a wonderful atmosphere your harp had created for the church; very moving indeed. We are so grateful you were there to make the day so special for us and cannot recommend you highly enough. Thank you once again.’

‘Just wanted to say thank you so much for yesterday. The music was absolutely beautiful and all our guests commented how nice it was. It was just perfect. I am so sorry I didn’t get to speak with you- everything feels such a blur, but thank you for your help making my special day so lovely.’
Emma, Cooling Castle Barn, May 2016
‘Just as we are packing for our honeymoon, Naz and I just wanted to send you a short message to say that we are so grateful for everything that you have done to make our day so special. It has meant an awful lot to us and we really appreciate it. Everyone commented on how beautiful the music was, especially when they recognised their favourite songs, and we loved listening to you play!‘

‘Thank you so much for performing once again for us. I have had some lovely comments made from both customers and staff alike about how festive the event felt with you playing the harp. You looked stunning as usual and sounded amazing. I hope we can call on you again.’
Dawn Sharp, Marketing Manager, Fenwick Tunbridge Wells, November 2015
‘A late thank you for playing at our wedding. I wish I had a recording as it’s hard to take everything in on the day. Corin said he was enjoying the music while he was waiting for me to arrive! I loved your dress – attached a couple of pics that our photographer took. Thanks for your help beforehand picking the pieces and I had loads of comments about your beautiful playing on the day.’
Sarah Dain, Wadhurst Castle, June 2015
‘Thank you so much for singing and playing at our wedding, can’t think of any better way to walk down the aisle…You created an amazing atmosphere and a moment I’ll never forget.’
Susan Turner, Vinopolis, August 2014
‘I just wanted to pop you an email to say a big thank you for playing so beautifully at our wedding and for the surprising duet you had to do. It was simply beautiful and even though very cheesy (the song that is) it does mean a lot to myself and Matthew. You probably sensed that from all the crying. I also have to say of all the compliments Matthew and I received that day yours has stayed with me ever since. So thank you for your beautiful performance and your kind words. Thanks again.’
