FRIENDS AND ENSEMBLES
CONCHORDAE 94 HARP DUO
Originally a collaboration for a fund-raising event at the request of The Heart Foundation, who sought the heart shape produced by a harp duo, Danielle and Ellen so enjoyed playing together that ConChordae 94 was founded. They have since given recitals at, amongst others, St. James’ Piccadilly, Holy Trinity Sloane Street and in Blackheath, performing a duo arrangement of Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro. Their repertoire is wide ranging but with an emphasis on the Baroque period.
SILVERSOUNDS - SOPRANO SAXOPHONE (MICHAEL GRANT) WITH VOICE AND HARP
Inspired by the haunting sound world of Jan Garbarek, Ellen & Michael have created their own unique interpretations of folk repertoire and traditional music in this unusual combination. Edgy, vibrant, fun and something a little bit different!

SILVERDALE DUO - FLUTE (CLAIRE OVERBURY) & HARP
Claire & Ellen met whilst independently performing aboard the Cunard ocean liner Queen Mary 2. The mellifluous sound of romantic harp and silvery flute is a winning combination and they now perform as a successful duo playing at a variety of weddings and functions across London and the southeast. Most recent performances range from large corporate events for Deloitte at the Royal Courts of Justice to a garden party at a private house in Royal Tunbridge Wells. With a broad repertoire of musical styles, Ellen and Claire add elegance and a special touch to any gathering.
VOCALISE WITH PATRICIA HAMMOND (MEZZO) & ZITA SYME (SOPRANO) & HARP
Long time friends and vintage clothing fans, Patricia and Ellen have a rapport that extends to their music making. Patricia’s scrupulously researched music-making and authentic, sweet sound combines with the crystalline simplicity of a solo harp, creating a perfect nostalgic dream. They have performed at a range of events, from a St. David’s Day dinner to wedding services and ceremonies and more formal recitals, most frequently at The Reform Club, Pall Mall, along with Zita Syme (soprano) in a programme featuring Songs of the Hebrides from the collection by Marjory Kennedy- Fraser.
